SonoPen is a novel marking pen designed for intraoperative ultrasound.
The pen allows marking the surface based on the internal ultrasound imaging helping surgeons more precisely determine and mark the internal structures.
Based on the high frequency ultrasound imaging, surgeons can better differentiate tumor from normal tissue. Definition of tumor margins, provides better correlation with pathology free margins without unnecessary sacrifice of normal tissue. Potential use in all cancer surgeries in the breast, pancreas, kidney, brain, liver, and skin.
