In cardiac surgery, neurologic stroke is a devastating complication secondary to cannulation, cross clamp and manipulation of the ascending aorta. High frequency ultrasound epiaortic scanning can identify atheromatous plaques to prevent emboli during cannulation. Our attachment system is adjustable allowing the epiaortic scanning with all linear ultrasound probes.
